15 N Smallwood Street at Washington Street

Beethoven’s Brio is program of trios by three virtuoso pianists of the Viennese classical era, Mozart, Beethoven, and Johann Nepomuk Hummel. Hummel was Mozart's pupil and Beethoven's friend. Mozart advanced the fortepiano trio, and the two others followed suit, ushering the piano trio into the nineteenth century. It has remained an essential genre in the chamber music repertoire to this day.

Pianist and historical keyboardist YI-HENG YANG has been noted for “astonishing skill and vividness” (The New York Times) and “absolute mastery” (Boston Musical Intelligencer).
